    violet - you should most definitely get a camera! i started out with a regular digital point and shoot, and i wasn't even into photography -- i just wanted a camera to take pictures of friends and such. then i started taking pictures of food, which led to my food blog. and THEN i started taking pictures of other stuff. once you get that camera in your hands and start taking pictures of things you don't normally stop to notice, you'll be hooked.
